    My name is Christian Thompson, my favorite basketball player is jayson tatum, and my favorite team is the Celtics. I'm in 7th grade, and I have loved basketball since I played in a basketball league called Biddybasketball. I wasn't very good at that age, but basketball was exciting and fun. I started to play it more. When I was 8, I did another basketball league and won many awards in that league. This is when basketball became my favorite thing to do. I practiced a lot and became a much better basketball player. I played in an in-town basketball league with fourth graders in third grade. It was overwhelming, but I still did well. My team ended up getting third place, but there were other competitions in the league. One of the competitions was 2v2. Me and my friend won, and we got a trophy. This league was my favorite because I got a trophy. Next year was really fun because I got to play basketball for my town and travel to different towns. Our team made it into the championship, but we lost by three in overtime. The next year was hard because we had to wear a mask because it was covid. Our team didn't do that well. But then I discovered a new basketball league called AAU basketball. The first team I was on in that league was very good, and all of the players were a lot better than me, but I did improve a lot because I was playing against better composition. I didn't really like that team, so I switched teams to a team called B2L, short for basketball to the limit. I liked this team much more because the players were nicer, and I had improved a lot from my other basketball teams, so I was the best player on my team even though I was a grade younger. I was coached by an assistant coach to a college team. This coach was the best I had ever had, and he greatly helped me improve. The next year for my travel basketball team, I had become a way better basketball player. I was now the best player on my team. Our team did very well and got second place in our division. That year I averaged 16.1 points. Sadly we lost in the second round of the playoffs. But I still had my in-town basketball league to play in. My team did very well this year in-town basketball, but we lost in the third round of the playoffs. That season was still super fun, maybe the most fun season I have ever had. The next season I was back to AAU basketball with B2L. My team was a lot better than last year we were even coached by a real college coach that coached Framingham State. We did very well, our team almost won the championship, but we didn't. The next year/right now, I am trying to make my school basketball team. This basketball team will be hard to make because most of the guys trying out are 8th graders, and they're a lot taller than me, so I have to practice a lot this summer and get a lot better.
